YAI was founded out of a lack of undergraduate opportunities that focused specifically on alternative investments: private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and real estate. YAI provides student work for industry-leading PE, VC, HF, and RE funds, completing projects for clients with a combined AUM of over $200 billion. Under the idea that experience is the best teacher, YAI is centered around completing projects for industry leading funds, effectively establishing a satellite office for our clients. Through working on projects, members are essentially given student internships, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on finance experience while contributing to billions of dollars of real investments.

Equally as meaningful as the work we do, we believe that pre-professional organizations should also exist as actual communities - it makes working together easier and way more fun. We really think it’s important for members to become friends with each other and build lasting relationships.
